Summary[]
Volg continues throwing liver blows that Elliott blocks while Volg keeps getting hit with Elliott's liver blows. Volg remembers fighting Ippo, where they both were fighting without breathing. He remembers that Ippo was enduring all of the pain and that it was fortitude that determined who won that match. Volg felt as if he learned something that day: as long as one can move their body, they can't give up hope and that he shouldn't lose to himself. Sendō tells Ippo that it would be different if Volg had a punch that could get past Elliott's guard. Ippo realises that he should have the Tsubame Gaeshi since Volg can use the Hien and Dankichi is his trainer. After Volg stops the liver blow attempts, Elliott notices Volg is about to use the Hien, and puts up his guard to his face. Volg turns his fist, and uses the Tsubame Gaeshi. The punch starts going through Elliott's guard, but it stops. Elliott believes that he has stopped Volg's final attack, however it was a setup for the White Fang's second hit. Volg lands the right to Elliott's face, knocking him down.
