Summary[]

In the ring, Itagaki does the Itagaki Shuffle while waiting. Imai then slowly walks to the ring and stays still while waiting. In the audience area, Sendō hears Itagaki and Imai's information from the announcer, seeing that Itagaki has been on top since becoming pro. Mashiba claims that Itagaki will win this time too, as he even can give him trouble, and he has gotten sharper after beating Saeki and Karasawa. Mari tells them to not underestimate Imai, as he only lost the East Japan Rookie King Tournament match against Itagaki by a narrow decision and scored downs on Itagaki. Mashiba and Sendō wonder what will happen now. The announcer announces the guest commentators being Date and Takamura. Fujii goes to Miyata and asks him how Imai was when he sparred against him. Miyata claims that Imai has his strengths, but Itagaki has grown amazingly as well, so his prediction is that it will come down to how much the difference between them has changed. As the match is about to begin, Shinoda advises Itagaki to concentrate as hard as he can and keep moving as his style is based on focus. Itagaki thinks that this time, he will send him to the hospital like he did when he fought him before. Imai is instructed by his coach to keep his guard up and get used to Itagaki's speed. Imai thinks how Itagaki's recent matches made it seem like he got superpowers and not fighting with boxing techniques, and since he is the one who unleashed Itagaki's potential, he will be the one to stop him. As the match begins, Takamura begins to tell his opinion about Itagaki, however, he stops himself as something shocking happens.
