While everyone cheers for Ippo, he dashes forward again. Alfredo throws his left and Ippo dodges. Ippo learns Alfredo's timing and he tries to go after the punch. Everybody in the stadium believes he can do this and cheers for him. Because of Ippo's pressure, Alfredo retreats to the corner. Before Ippo attacks, he predicts the movement of Alfredo first. He thinks, when he dodges the left, he will counter attack. He moves right away. Alfredo lands a left hook on Ippo's head, sending him down. Kamogawa realises that it was Alfredo's plan all along. The referee starts counting. Miyata explains that Alfredo made Ippo get used to his left, uppercut and one-twos so when Ippo attacks, he was only expecting those three, not a hook. Takamura notes that it was so concentrated, that he didn't even see the hook. While Ippo is still down, Kamogawa is shocked that since the start of the match, it has been one cohesive strategy that was subtle and executed perfectly, as nothing Ippo had was working and they were dancing to Alfredo's tune the entire time.
