- Title Page Character(s): Mamoru Takamura, Tatsuya Kimura, Manabu Itagaki
Summary[]
Takamura, Itagaki, and Kimura arrive at the Iwata's Chinese Noodles, asking what happened to Ippo. Aoki tells them that he left to turn himself in to the police. After hearing the story, Takamura states that violence is violence, Itagaki points out that Takamura hits people in the streets and he's the world champion so he should turn himself in, which Takamura says he's a special case as he's always forgiven. Teru believes it's his fault, as if he never got involved with Ippo the day he was saved, this wouldn't have happened. Kimura disagrees, stating that this was going to happen one way or another with Ippo, as long as there's bullying in the world, believing bullying will never disappear. Kimura believes that the school system is a flawed structure, putting 30 to 40 strangers together in the same room being told that you are all friends, even if it's adults, infighting is inevitable. Umezawa can't accept that bullying is inevitable, as ganging up on someone is unacceptable. Umezawa remembers the time he ganged up on Ippo, feeling like the king of the world while Ippo felt all alone. Umezawa describes how Ippo felt, and because of his bullying, Ippo could've died, making Hiroko lose him. Umezawa just wanted to feel important, however realises that he could've stolen his life and everyone who loved him. Takamura asks why Umezawa's face is beaten up, Umezawa replies that it was just an underling hitting him, relieving Teru who thought it was Taihei. Then, Umezawa states he has never seen Ippo make a face like he did. Remembering that it didn't look like a face a human would make. Itagaki then thinks if the face was that of a monster.
