Summary[]
As Aoki and Kimura praise Mashiba's way of victory, they notice how Baron is no where near his defeated boxer. The Tōhō coach remembers how Mashiba has changed and when Mashiba was looking for a sturdy opponent to find out if he got more powerful when he rose from featherweight to lightweight, and if not, how he can adjust his fighting style. The interviewer has her mic knocked out of her hand when Mashiba did not like that she wanted to know who he will fight next, as Mashiba expresses his thoughts on how it is not based on one fighter's decision. The interviewer then asks if Mashiba has overcome his weaknesses. Mashiba answers, that they were short one weakness. When Mashiba leaves the ring, the interviewer asks the Tōhō coach of his future. The Tōhō coach then announce that he and Mashiba will be relinquishing the OPBF belt and immediately challenge for a world match. Outside the Kōrakuen Hall, Aoki and Kimura have a conversation about how Mashiba's gotten popular and how Mashiba has more humanity in him since his match against Sawamura. When Aoki and Kimura wonder what the fourth weakness, Ippo appears and claims it to be Miyata, as fighting Miyata during the East Japan Rookie King Tournament was the only time Mashiba was feeling fear. Ippo then notes that, thanks to watching the match, he realised the reason he lost.
