Details[]

Summary[]

Ippo informs Aoki and Kimura that he realises the reason he lost two times in a row in his recent matches, and the signs were there way before the losses. Kimura stops Aoki from worrying about why Ippo lost and reminds him of the match that just happened where Iga lost. Kimura has Aoki, Kintarō, and Taihei come with him to talk about the match while Ippo has thoughts alone. At the Kemuri Izakaya, Taihei asks what happens to Mashiba and Iga's belts. Kimura explains that having both belts on the line is something both parties have to decide. Mashiba was beyond the OPBF belt, and the JBC was beneath him, so it was just a OPBF defence. Kimura continues, claiming that if Iga won, Iga would get the OPBF belt and keep the JBC belt. Aoki realises that Iga is still the champion, being able to be his goal When Kimura mentions how bad Iga got defeated, Kintarō notes how Ippo claimed that Kimura put up a fight against Mashiba. Kimura then informed him that Ippo beat him by KO, surprising Kintarō, who only heard stories of Ippo losses. After Aoki explains the thoughts of a retired boxer when they see a match, Kimura believes Ippo was going to say that he misses boxing. The next day, Kamogawa asks Ippo why he is punching a sandbag while retired. Ippo answers that he noticed "something" Mashiba and Miyata had in common and that "something" is what he had forgotten: his left. Ippo then stresses how his strategy was always diving in and using the Dempsey Roll, forgetting about what Kamogawa told him about "hit before getting hit". Ippo realises that losing was inevitable.
