Details[]

Summary[]

Ippo states that he looked up references such as Mike Tyson and Cus D'Amato's training lessons to come up with the numbering system for his students, which Shinoda explains that one must have a strong bond between the student and teacher. Aoki and Kimura tries the numbering system out and notices that "4" and "6" is in fact faster than saying "left body" and "right hook", seeing the advantage of the system. Itagaki tells Aoki and Kimura that it's only faster if one can respond to the call in time, resulting in a challenge where Itagaki, Aoki, Kimura, Taihei, and Kintarō responds to the number Ippo calls out. Ippo overdoes the "1" (left jab) call, making Aoki and Kimura angry. Ippo then decides to come up with a scenario which consists of fighting Sendō, however the challenge ends when Ippo call out "1" twice. Itagaki informs Taihei and Kintarō that he knew that Ippo would only think of either Sendō or Miyata in that situation, telling the two that if they can best him in the "senpai quiz", he would treat them to something as a celebration, causing them to remember about Takamura's victory celebration that has not happened yet. Shinoda reveals to Taihei and Kintarō that Takamura is out travelling, which Kimura speculates that he may go overseas, as he already travelled all around Japan. Hearing "overseas" reminds Ippo of the time Sendō claimed he would head to Mexico, wondering what came of the declaration. In Osaka, Sendō's former teacher visits his grandmother, who assumes that she has decided to become Sendō's wife, and now she can die with no worries until Sendō hits her, telling his grandmother to listen to her as she is not his wife. Sendō explains to his grandmother that he asked his former teacher to look after her, then further explains that it was to fulfil her wish for him to be with his former teacher one day. The former teacher claims that she will check on her everyday, which Sendō then proclaims that he will go to Mexico.
