Details[]

Summary[]

As Sendō's] grandmother and teacher were about to head inside the Takeshi's family store, a group of people head toward the store and gets into a guarding position around the store when Sendō gives the signal. Hoshi, who led the people to help guard the store while Sendō leaves for Mexico, explains that while they appear to be thugs, they each have a cat symbol made by Sendō to prove that they are an ally. While Sendō's grandmother detests the idea due to their appearance would scare the customers, the teacher believes that she should go back to Tokyo now that she is not needed due to the group. Not wanting his teacher to leave, Sendō quickly disperses the group, leaving his teacher to recall how her popular former student went from a problem child to a true hero. As Sendō begins to leave for Mexico, his teacher is worried about how he will communicate with the Mexicans. Hoshi then claims that he will go with him as he knows English, however the teacher is still worried due to Mexicans speaking Spanish and not English. At the Kamogawa gym, Mari talks to Ippo and is surprised to know that Ippo was already aware of Sendō's plans to leave for Mexico despite even his gym not knowing as Sendō left without permission. Ippo tells Mari that Sendō went to Mexico to meet Alfredo. Mari knew that Sendō's gym requested a match against Alfredo after Ippo lost to him, but Alfredo turned it down due to Alfredo using his match against Ippo as the right to challenge the world. Mari explains that when Alfredo won, he attempted to challenge Ricardo, however Ricardo's gym turned him down due to seeing no point in challenging someone Ricardo defeated twice. Since Alfredo feels tricked, he refuses to face any Japanese boxers. While Sendō's gym gave up on trying to get a match with Alfredo, Sendō refuses to give up, fixated on fighting the man who defeated Ippo. Later, Sendō and Hoshi arrive to Mexico.

Trivia[]

  • The land that Takeshi Sendō and Hiroyuki Hoshi stood on did not exist during the late 90s, it was constructed around 2006. The author most likely put it either way as it looks far more interesting with the sign next to them, that they have arrived to Mexico.
  • The backpack Hoshi carries is Mayoi Hachikuji's from the Monogatari series.[1]
