Summary[]
Placing his mahjong tile down, Yagi completes his hand with an atomic. He prepares his next hand, and is one tile away from another winning hand, however, he discarded a tile, as he saw it wouldn't give him enough points to be satisfied. After strategic placements of his tiles, Yagi completes his hand once again, with a pure chūren pōtō. However, Dragon reveals that he also has a winning hand, the kokushi musō. Seeing Dragon as a formidable opponent, Yagi suggests that they start betting one yen per point starting next hand. Yagi receives a hit on the head by the Otakugon owner for trying to gamble in his place which could get him shut down. Yagi throws the thirty-two thousand worth of scoring sticks at Dragon, who catches it with his left hand, and leaves, due to getting banned. As Yagi and Ippo, Yagi is depressed that he left empty handed and banned again, however, Ippo thinks otherwise, since he came to a realisation that Dragon is a southpaw since he quickly caught the scoring sticks with his left hand. While Ippo was watching footage of Dragon's matches and notices how Dragon's lefts have excellent timing and angles, Hiroko tells Ippo that he has a phone call. After talking to Takamura on the phone, he runs to the shrine and is surprised to find out that Takamura is at the shrine waiting for him. When Ippo arrives, Takamura asks him if it is the shrine that gives good results, which Ippo confirms.
