Summary[]
After finishing his shift at the boat, Ippo goes to visit Hiroko at the hospital. When he arrives, he finds her packing in order to go home because she is worried about him not being able to do boxing anymore. He tells her that he will take a break from it, but in reality he does plan to quit. At night while cleaning the boat, Ippo is approached by Fujii, who gives him a video of Takuma Saeki, and encourages him not to quit. Ippo visibly upset, asks to be left alone, and so Fujii leaves while he hopes Ippo will one day make a return. After watching the video he gets exited about the fight, but remembering that it will not happen, he finally accepts that he must quit boxing. Later as he is reviewing the expenses, he hears someone at the door and goes out to see it is Umezawa.
