Summary[]
Wally continues attacking Ricardo's guard with a barrage of punches before retreating with a body blow. As the second round ends with Ricardo not throwing a single punch again, Ippo notices that Ricardo still hasn't grasped Wally yet. At Ricardo's corner, Bill asks Ricardo what he thinks of the boxer he ordered, to which Ricardo answers that he is exactly what he ordered and, as of now, a bit too much for him. Ricardo adds that Wally has the best natural talents he has ever seen, and has someone giving him the devil's teachings. Round three begins with Ricardo having his guard up again, making Sendō jeer. Volg tells him how it is not that Ricardo doesn't like trading punches, but he also doesn't like get beat on one-sidedly, predicting that if he tries to punch, it will turn back on him. Ricardo thinks of how Wally's punches use flexibility and bending, as well as speed to make the impact feel like a getting pierced by the tip of a blade, which is being aimed at his eyes, as he is trying to blind him.
