Summary[]
Wally arrives to his corner. Sendō realises that the punch Wally threw at the end was a Smash. Wally mentions to Ippo how it is thanks to him that he withstood Ricardo's body blows, as he trained his body ever since his fight with him, thanking him. Miguel requests for Ippo to tell Sendō something. Miguel tells Wally the final trump card: to be free and just have fun. At Ricardo's corner, Bill, predicting that Wally will be gambling it all in the next round, advises Ricardo to prepare himself and when he comes, ambush him. Ricardo declines the advice, as he plans to take the initiative, refusing to let Wally take the pace a second time. Ippo goes to the audience area where Sendō is to give him Miguel's message. As the sixth round begins, Wally goes to the centre of the ring and stomps his feet to signal an exchange with Ricardo. The audience gets loud and stomps their feet in excitement.
