Summary[]
Ippo barely manages to get back up in time, but the referee is not sure he is still able to fight. As Kamogawa is about to throw the towel, Ippo charges forward leaving the referee no choice but to order them to keep fighting. Kōrakuen Hall is louder than before with chants for Ippo, who charges at the champion. Date can not move due to the damage, so he lets Ippo get closer to begin the trade. Once they resume, Ippo receives a left jab, but returns with a body blow that clearly damages his opponent. Takamura notices that one good body blow will end the champion, so Aoki and Kimura yell at Ippo to do so. Ippo initiates the motion for a liver blow and Date seems to retreat, however he is simply taking enough distance to perform the Heart Break Shot, which apparently is a success.
