Summary[]
The event begins and the first to fight is Kimura. By the time his match reaches the fifth round, he is in complete control of the fight and overwhelms his opponent, Nefuma Ozca] with a barrage of punches that send him down and end the fight. Next is Aoki, who is in the middle of a seemingly even match, but soon begins to falter and is knocked back by his opponent, Boy Allade. On the verge of defeat, Aoki baits his opponent into attacking, and delivers a blow that turns the fight around and causes the opposite corner to throw in the towel. As Ippo complements Nekota on his boxing knowledge, they are interrupted by Mari Īmura, who introduces herself to Ippo, as she had no chance when she first saw him at the gym. As Kimura and Kumi look for Ippo, they see him shaking hands with Mari, which causes an awkward moment between them. The time for the main event arrives and people are in disbelief when they see Takamura wearing the bear's skin. Some find it amusing, and others find it disrespectful. His opponent, Takaaki Itō feels insulted by the act as he respects Takamura in a way, and states he will teach him a lesson, however when Takamura removes the skin, all mixed feelings in the hall become shock at the sight of bear claw-scars on his chest. Takamura states that they are just surprised after realising he indeed defeated a bear, but will be even more surprised by his performance.
