Summary[]
With the entire Kōrakuen Hall filled with excited fans, Kimura makes his entrance, to the cheers of his friends, family and even Miyata Ichirō. On the champion's corner, Mashiba appears with the audience cheering for him (including his sister and boss). Kimura is unaffected by Mashiba's look, as all he can focus on is the belt. When they move to the centre of the ring to receive instructions, both fighters glare at each other an neither looks away. Mashiba notices how much Kimura wants the belt, but tells his coach that he does not need it anymore. Wanting to aim for the world title, Mashiba promises to defeat Kimura for Kumi's sake. An equally determined Kimura plans to show the champion how much five years of training are worth. Knowing he most set the pace, Kimura charges at Mashiba as soon as the bell rings. Mashiba instantly takes his classic Hitman Style and throws a Flicker Jab that Kimura seemingly dodges. However, Mashiba changes the trajectory of the punch and lands it clean. Kimura then backs away in shock at the fact that he can not find a way in.
