Summary[]

With the news of Ippo's first title defence been against Sanada, the public becomes exited, as it is difficult to predict who will be the winner, due to the different factors involved in the match. While reflecting about the name of Dankichi's techniques, they learn (with help from new member Gotō) that it might be a technique capable of defeating both in-fighter and out-boxer types. Kamogawa then arrives to confirm their suspicions, revealing that the only way to stop both styles is with the left hand, which is exactly what the Hien is. He privately explains the move to Kimura, whose help he enlists to show Ippo the move. Both fighters get in he ring (with Aoki wondering if it is so simple that Kimura can do it by just hearing of it), and they begin sparring. Kimura throws a jab, which Ippo dodges before moving in, but is caught by a fast punch. He is confused about the technique but tries again before getting caught once more. He realises that Kimura does not fully retract his arm after throwing the jab, and then changes it's direction while throwing it. Despite Ippo's request, Kimura can no longer use the move, as it puts too much strain on his wrist. However Kamogawa deduces that Dankichi has had Sanada increasing his wrist strength, and furthermore, he states that the different moves the Hien's initial jab can turn into, could signify a problem. The group concludes that this is how it can shut down both in-fighters and out-boxers, so Ippo must be careful with the left hand. Despite knowing this, the move Ippo is worried about, is one that might be executed with the right hand. Kamogawa agrees due to what Dankichi said, and suspects the Tsubame Gaeshi is a blow delivered with the right hand for close combat. He then tells Ippo that they will begin training for Sanada. Meanwhile during a training session, Sanada downs his sparring partner, who is in shock at the fact that his guard got penetrated. Supervising the match, is Dankichi, who says the move is about eighty percent completed. Sanada replies that he will definitely want to use it against Ippo, and Dankichi tells him that it will get pass his Peek-a-Boo Style without a doubt.
