Summary[]
Ippo tries to stand up, but Kamogawa tells him to wait until the count reaches 8, which he does. Ozuma, knowing only 30 seconds remain and that four round matches allow only two downs, charges at Ippo. Ippo dodges a hook, but is hit with a body blow. Ozuma hits Ippo with several other blows and graves him with a hook. Ippo nearly falls over again, but forcefully regains his balance. Ozuma is impressed but continues his assault. Ippo cross counters his hook with an uppercut. With Ippo winning the exchange. Ozuma begins to approach Ippo, but the gong rings ending round one
Ippo is disappointed, but Kamogawa congratulates his performance. He tells Ippo that the key to defeating Ozuma is to simultaneously hit. He also tells him that even if he is hit by one of Ozuma's punches, to pretend to not be hurt to make Ozuma unsure of his punches. The second round begins and Ozuma rushes in. After dodging an uppercut, Ozuma fires a hook at Ippo, but Ippo charges in and does a simultaneous exchange, with Kimura noting that Ippo intentionally received Ozuma's blow to counter.
