Summary

Itagaki gets the news that Takamura has a world title fight in December, Kamogawa then announces they must focus on October, as Takamura has a match then. He then states it will be Itagaki's pro debut and Kimura's comeback match that month. Yagi announces that Ippo will be the semi-finals for Takamura's match in December, fighting at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan, which Takamura picked because of Date's match against Ricardo. Fujii then arrives, asking to get an exclusive interview, asks where Takamura is. Takamura, in the bathroom, examines his stool, when he gets out, Fujii explains how Hawk is someone who rarely practice and how no one can contact him until a week before a fight. Kimura explains that Hawk hates to work out, he got his world title by only training for nine days. Kimura continues with saying that Hawk claimed to have been in bed with women more than in boxing gloves and his score is 20 matches, 20 wins, 17 KO. Fujii states when Hawk found out he was facing against a Japanese man, he hung up the phone without knowing the name of his challenger, this angers Takamura, who states he will kill him. The night of the October matches arrive, Itagaki begins his pro debut match as he walks into the ring.
