Summary[]
Aoki and Ippo read the magazine from Takamura's last match, where it has Takamura's meeting with Hawk on the front page instead of the actual match. Ippo wants to find Itagaki to support him, but Kimura insists that he will come back. Ippo, Kimura, and Aoki get excited at the possibility of Takamura winning a world champion belt. Fujii enters the gym and states that Hawk is no ordinary fighter and incredibly strong, similar to Takamura. Ippo points out that Takamura had a ring out, but then Fujii shows that Hawk has two ring outs and a possible three if the referee didn't save him, concluding that while Takamura may surpass Japan, Hawk may surpass the world.v Aoki wants to know Ippo's opinion, as he sparred against world champion Ricardo, but Ippo states that he thought most world champions would be like Ricardo, however Hawk is on a different mountain. As Fujii explains his fighting style, they conclude he's just like Takamura. Ippo asks Aoki and Kimura, who is the strongest between Takamura and Hawk, they then fight over who's the strongest. They then stop fighting when Ippo reminds them that Takamura is the reason they started boxing and that they should believe in him. Ippo, Aoki, and Kimura then decide to go to Takamura's place to find out why he started boxing. When they arrive, they are shocked when they find Takamura's siblings at his house. Elsewhere, Takamura talks with his brother, who states that if Takamura becomes the world champion he can come back to the family, saying that Takamura owes him a favour. He then states Takamura should quit the "fist fighting" and how his existence breeds trouble.
