Summary

Kamogawa and Yagi witness Hawk's public sparring session where he holds back his punches until his group of girls arrive, leaving his opponent in a bloody mess, angering Kamogawa. Takamura then has his public sparring session and couldn't even hit his opponent. Kamogawa points out that Takamura around this time would rest his body to regain strength after training, however the last 2 kilo won't come off. Takamura, who can't talk, nods when Kamogawa asks if he can make the weight. He then makes a motion to say "don't worry" and "leave it to me". The day before the fight, at the weigh-in, Takamura makes the weight. Hawk then looks at Takamura's body and says that it looks like a mummy and is pitiful. The insults angers Takamura, but Kamogawa stops him before he does anything. As the press conference is about to begin, Fujii tells Ippo, Aoki, and Kimura that he is counting on them in case something happens between Takamura and Hawk, as he suspects it won't go well. Takamura and Hawk are seated as the press conference is about to begin.
