Summary[]

Despite the American pulling his punches, Dankichi's jaw is badly damaged. The Americans throw food and clothes on the ground for the Japanese to take. This angers Nekota, as they just witnessed an American beating a Japanese man and are getting laughed at. Nekota and Kamogawa spots a girl not picking anything up off the ground. When asked why, she believes that if she picked it up off the ground, she would throw away her Japanese pride. Later that night, Kamogawa and Nekota are relieved to find out Dankichi isn't seriously injured, due to the fact that being bad at taking damage saved him. Kamogawa realises that Dankichi was hit with a counter, and with the weight difference, Kamogawa believes it would be impossible to take it on as bantamweights. After hearing Nekota wanting revenge, Kamogawa states that America's ring is more advanced than Japan's and they call it 'boxing'. Nekota states that he has found hope, as he remembers when the girl wanted to protect her Japanese pride. The two then see's that same girl running away from two Americans. The American's second states that the American boxer is bored as the Japanese were too weak to fight him, therefore, he wants the woman. Nekota and Kamogawa attempts to fight the American, but are quickly defeated. After the fight, the American's second, Miguel Zale introduces himself and states that the American, Anderson, has left. Miguel then states to not seek vengeance, as they will lose, since prize fighting and boxing are different.
