Summary[]
At the Makunouchi Fishing Boat, Umezawa notices some big shoes, which Ippo confirms are his, as his training is making his big toe bigger. While out on the boat, Umezawa wonders how Ippo is standing at the worse part of the boat. Miyazaki explains that Ippo was raised on the water and comments how he learned to shift his weight perfectly. Ippo thinks about Shimabukuro and wonders if he can get a punch through his thick neck and armour. Ippo then began harsh training with Kamogawa. Takamura believes that training to be impossible, and that Ippo's fight with Shimabukuro will be decided by who can hit longer without a break and who can take those hits the best. Days later, after completing the menu, Kamogawa has Ippo spar with Aoki, who is training for his title match. The spar ends after Ippo was only able to block. Kamogawa notes that the results of the training will show later, as his blood should be concentrating. Kamogawa tells Takamura how boxers with the title "hybrid" are increasing while in-fighters are decreasing, so he has to concentrate on his blood to make him a pure-blooded in-fighter. Kamogawa and Takamura believe Ippo's fight will decide who is the best pure-blooded in-fighter in the nation. The next day, Ippo becomes surprised when he sees Shimabukuro appear at his home.
