Summary[]
Seeing Ippo fall down a set of stairs, Kamogawa sees that his muscles are at his limit and orders him to not do anything for a whole week. Kamogawa suggests soaking in a pool. After having trouble carrying things at the Makunouchi Fishing Boat, he goes to the Swimming Club to soak. There, he meets Kumi, who was told by Aoki to watch him. Itagaki and Nanako also arrives to encourage Ippo. Nanako and Kumi have a conversation that Ippo believes to be female friendship, oblivious to the fact they don't like each other. Itagaki then mentions a newspaper section that has Shimabukuro claiming he can move freely in the sea and that he will destroy the Dempsey Roll. The two do not get what the riddle means, however Ippo believes Kamogawa knows and that he is training his body to answer the riddle. The next day, Ippo returns to the Swimming Club again while Nanako is watching over him. Nanako becomes worried after noticing Ippo being underwater for five minutes. However, Ippo comes back to the surface, not knowing he was underwater that long. After a week, Ippo's muscles have recovered and he goes back to the Kamogawa gym, getting ready to hit mitts.
