Summary[]
With Ippo aiming to hit Shimabukuro with the Dempsey Roll, Shimabukuro wishes to show Ippo how he will defeat the Dempsey Roll. Shimabukuro collides with Ippo's Dempsey Roll with a punch of his own, hitting each other at the same time in an exchange. Kamogawa notes that he has never seen an exchange so terrifying, thinking that it would be impossible to accomplish countering the Dempsey Roll while it is in mid motion. The two boxers exchange hits until Ippo's Dempsey Roll is nothing but a mere hook. Shimabukuro throws a left, sending Ippo to the ropes, successfully defeating the Dempsey Roll. With the Dempsey Roll defeated, Kamogawa can only praise Shimabukuro's brilliance. Shimabukuro and his coach celebrate their efforts. Ippo is in shock that his Dempsey Roll is beaten and believes he has nothing left, while Shimabukuro is fired up.
