Summary[]
Itagaki defeats his opponent, winning the first round of the East Japan Rookie King Tournament. When Ippo, Takamura, Kimura, and Itagaki go back to the room, they become shocked when they see Aoki with his pants down in front of Tomiko. After Aoki tried to explain what happen and the others not believing him, Itagaki encourages him to win as he has warmed up the crowd. As Aoki gets ready to leave, the Kamogawa gym boxers note how serious Aoki looks and encourages him to win. Aoki enters the ring and feels how different the atmosphere is when one is having a title match. When Imae enters the ring, the two boxers go to their corners with their seconds. Imae's coach tells him to calm down, which Imae knows, and vows to himself that has to protect his belt, since if he loses it, he will lose everything as he has forsaken everything but boxing. Shinoda advises for Aoki to not run away if Imae tries to set up his pace and to break his rhythm. Aoki replies that breaking one's rhythm is his speciality and plans to attack from the start. At the audience area. Kimura points out how Aoki is doing more well than he thought. Ippo adds that he thinks Aoki might have a chance, as Aoki has a new secret weapon that he hasn't seen yet, believing that he will use it during the match. Aoki's JBC lightweight title match against Imae begins.
