Summary[]

Aoki, Kimura, Itagaki, Isamu, and Hiroshi arrive to Takamura's home after being called by Takamura to discuss Sawamura, the upcoming opponent for Ippo, who is inside as well. The group watches a recording of Sawamura fighting Shimabukuro until the match ends in Sawamura's decision. They notice how the one-sided match that was in Sawamura's favour was forced to drag out until the end as Sawamura could have finished it, but never did, as he enjoys playing with his opponent. Watching the match again, they see how his counters are thrown before his opponent starts to move, rather than connecting the counter at the end of the punching movement. They compare his counter to Miyata's and point out ho Miyata throws his with his whole body behind it, fighting with his soul on the line and risking everything, while Sawamura sucks up all of the light and is surrounded by darkness. Ippo shows everyone a recording of Sawamura fighting another opponent where, after his opponent accidentally elbows him, Sawamura proceeds to grab him, prop his head up, and elbow him. The scene shocks Aoki and Kimura, and Ippo informs them that the match was stopped and Sawamura was disqualified. Fujii walks in the room and adds that the two losses on his record is by disqualification, and that he acts out outside the ring as well, doing things like hurting others in train stations, docks, street corners, and back alleys. After Aoki and Kimura ask Takamura of his opinion on Sawamura, Takamura kicks everyone out due to them crowding his room. Elsewhere, Sawamura goes to his gym after beating up three innocent people. He asks his chief coach Karil if his request for a title match against Ippo has been sent. After confirming, Karil notices Sawamura has teeth marks on the back of his hand, and Sawamura claims that if an obstacle pops up, he will erase it himself. Walking away from Takamura's home, Aoki and Kimura mentions how Sawamura is in the same talent category as Sendō and Miyata, and his nastiness is in the level of Mashiba, but Ippo argues that Sawamura is not like them at all, refusing to recognise Sawamura as a boxer.
