Summary

During the weigh-in between Ippo and Sawamura, the latter does not let go of the former's hand during the handshake, as he inspects how Ippo's hand his hard and thick, wishing the meat would be softer. Sawamura offers to fight Ippo right now since there is an audience, but Ippo breaks from the handshake and declines. Irritated, Ippo reminds Sawamura that they will fight in the ring fair and square. Sawamura laughs at the idea, making Ippo more irritated. Afterwards, on his way to meet Kumi outside, Ippo runs into Kawabe, who pleads for Ippo to win against Sawamura to teach him that there are others stronger than him. Nearby, Sawamura was listening and is disappointed that the one person he thought was on his side wants him to lose, but he still plans to make everyone who hates him see him win. Ippo goes outside and is frightened to see Mashiba came along with Kumi. The trio heads to the amusement park to eat the lunch Kumi made. Mashiba sees a motorcycle near the area and wants to take it for a ride. Kumi gets between him and the motorcycle to stop him, however, the owner of the motorcycle, Sawamura comes by and throws a punch at her, scratching her on the face. Angered, Mashiba throws a punch at him, but Sawamura dodges. Mashiba enters the Hitman Style stance. Ippo gets between the two boxers, wanting Mashiba to stop because he will fight him tomorrow.
