Summary[]
Ippo rushes towards Sawamura before getting stopped by the referee as the second round has ended. At the corner, Sawamura figures that Ippo will push hard in the next round and step right into his trap. Miyata tells Date and Sendō that there is a possibility that Ippo may lose and that as a counter puncher, Sawamura is at the same level as him, believing that Sawamura will show everyone something that has great interest to all counter punchers. At Ippo's corner, Kamogawa advises him to keep moving to not let Sawamura pinpoint anything. When the third round begins, Ippo is unable to get close to Sawamura because of his Bullets and his stance that leaves his left arm stretched out. Ippo uses the Cross-Arm Block, letting Ippo slowly get closer to Sawamura as Bullets hit his guard. Miyata realises that Sawamura has been setting up this scenario, with his fouls making Ippo get into a standard rhythm, and his Bullets letting him know their exact distance at all times. As Ippo reached a distance where his fist can reach, he prepares to throw a right.
