Summary

Ippo uses his Dempsey Roll, and Sawamura steps back. As Ippo throws a right hook, Sawamura counters with his right Flash, however, much to everyone's shock, Ippo still stands. Sawamura thinks that Ippo must have felt that counter before, while Ippo reflects how it is thanks to Volg and everyone else that he is standing, feeling determined to win. Going back to the basics, Ippo throws a left jab and a one-two that misses as Sawamura retreats to Ippo's blindside since Ippo's right eye is swollen shut. Ippo finds Sawamura and attacks. Kumi is worried about Ippo since he was acting different before the fight, wanting him to be safe afterwards no matter who wins. Mashiba knows that Ippo's spirit pushes farther than any other boxer he knows, but since Sawamura isn't soft, wonders if he will make it out in one piece. With his stomach full, Sawamura is done with Ippo and is looking to finish the match as he hits him with a counter. Sawamura continuously hits a defenceless Ippo with Bullets. Kamogawa believes that the reason Ippo didn't fall was because he already felt the counter before, however, he knows that it is due to another reason, and is willing to bet on that other reason.
