Summary

Ippo had called Itagaki to come by to get more opinions, but Itagaki has also brought Takamura, Aoki, and Kimura as well. When Aoki and Takamura starts reading it, they quickly fight over it and the latter rips in his half accidentally. Ippo gets angry at them as Aoki, Kimura, Takamura, and Itagaki run off. Ippo apologises, but Umezawa is fired up because they fought over his manga as they both wanted to read it. Umezawa decides to fix it and submit it to the contest, describing it like he is entering his own ring. That night, Ippo helps Umezawa repair his work, learning how long he spends drawing manga and would still help with the fishing business for so long. The next day, Umezawa eats with Ippo and Hiroko and thanks them for taking care of him. Umezawa decides to confess to Hiroko about him being in the group of bullies that bullied Ippo in the past, however, Hiroko stops him in the middle of his confession, telling him to lift his head.
