Summary

Sanada sees Ippo is worried about asking the person about their eye, so he warns that not only will losing his eyesight will affect him for the rest of his life, but he could lose his life going to the ring with poor eyesight. Sanada hopes that Ippo is wrong about his suspicions about Takamura, who Sanada knew was the one he was talking about due to the way Ippo was trying to prevent making a big deal before his world title match. Sanada leaves, promising to keep their conversation a secret. Ippo acknowledges that he has to take full responsibility to take his right to enter the ring away from Takamura for his safety if he does have retinal detachment. As the training camp is finished, Miyata and his father drives Takamura back to his house. As Takamura goes inside, Miyata wonders how Takamura feels, because even though he has friends and a good environment to train in, as a boxer, there is no one on the same level to emphasise with him, which makes Miyata think that Takamura is lonely. Ippo decides to go to Takamura's house to ask him if he can see out of his right eye. Once Ippo gets there, he sees that Takamura is acting like his usual self. Ippo asks Takamura if he can see out of his right eye.
