Summary

At the Kamogawa gym, Ippo, Itagaki, and Yagi look at the match poster for Takamura's world title match that has the words "A PASSING POINT". with Yagi noting that not many would consider a world title match a point of passage. As Takamura, Aoki, Kimura, Kamogawa, and Shinoda return to the gym, Takamura likes the look of the poster. As Takamura trains at the gym, Itagaki mentions to Ippo that since it is a Summer match, weight control for Takamura should be easier. Ippo doesn't think so, as he will be easily dehydrated and tired, but knows that he will still run under the blazing sun regardless. While Takamura is training under Kamogawa, the latter notices that after three minutes of running, it still isn't enough for Takamura to sweat. Takamura, even though his mouth is so dry, it is bleeding, pushes himself to ask Kamogawa if he will be happy if he took the belt. Kamogawa insisted on not being concerned about him, but would be a sight to see if he saw Takamura hold two world belts. Eagle arrives at the airport in Japan.. He comments to the press that he came to Japan because Takamura interested him as he defeated Hawk, who was his greatest threat. While his aid planned to take him to his hotel for his dinner, Eagle wants to head to the gym instead, since he is worried about his rhythm after a long flight, wanting to get back into "fight mode" as soon as possible. Mari mentions to Fujii how despite coming from the same country, Eagle is nothing like Hawk. Fujii notes how Eagle doesn't hunger for glory, but has unwavering determination, and has survived through hard work rather than monstrous talent, making him a true champion.
