Summary

Miyata's attack on Medgoen's guard lasts up to the fourth round. After the fourth round, Miyata's father wonders what Mr. Sakaguchi and Medgoen are planning with such a passive strategy. Mr. Sakaguchi reminds Medgoen that he paid good money for him, and to fight like his life depends on it. In the fifth round, Miyata breaks Medgoen's guard with three fast precise jabs. Miyata tries to hit Medgoen's face, however, Miyata was hit by a short left hook, which was too fast to counter. Miyata becomes agitated when Medgoen immediately returns to his defensive tactic. Miyata dashes to the centre of the ring, plants his feet, and begins an in-fight against Medgoen. Medgoen remembers when he met Mr. Sakaguchi. His daughter, Maria, was sick and on the brink of death. He didn't have enough money to pay for medical attention. He was approached by Mr. Sakaguchi, who offered Medgoen a lot of money to work for him, with a task to go a full ten rounds against Miyata. With the need for money to cure his daughter, Medgoen accepted without a second thought. In the present, after getting hit with a body blow, Medgoen tries to escape, but Miyata catches up and lands another body blow. Medgoen thinks that Miyata could easily win if he fought safely by out-boxing, but he keeps pushing in dangerous territory. Medgoen believes that Miyata's fists are telling him to fight him like a man.
