Summary

As the entrances for Takamura and Eagle are about to start, Aoki, Itagaki, and Kimura are surprised to see Nekota in the audience next to them. Ippo is running to the bathroom when Miyata stops him. Miyata tells him that he needs to confirm something with him, but when the audience is focused on Takamura and Eagle, then they will go back to the audience so they don't draw in the attention. Takamura makes his entrance, and, once in the ring, Kamogawa tells him that he can go as wild as he needs to. With the audience cheering loudly for Takamura, Eagle enters the ring with a focused look about him. Everyone in the audience are surprised he isn't easygoing like Hawk, and even though he is American, he is like a samurai ready for a duel. Ippo and Miyata enter the audience area, and Miyata asks what he came to Ippo for to confirm: about Takamura's right eye. Ippo says that Takamura is fine because he could read the small print on a magazine far away. Miyata is shocked Ippo didn't take him to the hospital, as he could have just memorised what was written on the magazine. While Ippo is worried about Takamura, Miyata claims that if Takamura says he can see, they will just have to believe him. Takamura asks Kamogawa if he wants the belt. After Kamogawa gets pressured by Takamura into admitting he wants the belt, Takamura and Eagle walk to the centre of the ring with a serious look. When the first round begins, Takamura and Eagle dash towards each other, and both boxers land a left jab on each other's guard, but Takamura's had more impact. Takamura doesn't plan on scoping things out, as he decides he will pound Eagle in instead.
