Summary

After dodging Takamura's right straight, Eagle counters with a right straight of his own, which forces Takamura to a corner. Kamogawa notes that this is the kind of boxing that exploits Takamura's greatest weakness, adding that Eagle's true strength lies in his great experience at his Olympics and pro boxing, so simply pounding at him won't work. Kamogawa believes that Eagle is at a high level where he will always be two steps ahead, thinking that the real fight begins now. Takamura becomes angry that Eagle keeps staring him down and rushes towards him. Eagle dodges a right and counters with a left uppercut. Takamura throws more punches, but Eagle dodges and lands a counter twice. Miyata tells Ippo that Eagle doesn't understand just his rhythm, he must understand his personality to an extent as well, which is the reason why he isn't fully throwing his punches. Ippo is shocked to find out that Eagle isn't following through with is punches, as it could deal serious damage to Takamura. Takamura is irritated by Eagle's weak punches.
