Summary[]
Ippo advances to the finals by defeating the prodigy, much to the audience's shock. Kimura and Aoki congratulate him (with the latter particularly happy, as he was Ippo's sparring partner). Hayami who awakes to find out he lost, insist that it is alright, and that his "legend" is just beginning. He claims his next match will be a fresh start. After the match, Miyata is training with his father, when they receive a call from Fujii, who informs them of Ippo's victory. Miyata's father is surprised not only about Ippo's growth, but that his son was right on the prediction. Miyata states that he has a grudge against his next opponent, and will defeat him via knockout.
