Summary[]
The spar between Itagaki and Randy begins. Itagaki begins focusing while having his arms low, making his stance have no guard. Ippo notices the positions of Itagaki's hands and feet are where it is most convenient for him to move. Shinoda feels an aura of concentration in the ring, thinking that no normal boxer can touch Itagaki when he is in the zone, however, he knows that Randy is no average boxer, wondering how far he will get. Knowing Randy is a Switch Hitter, Itagaki wonders if he will be an orthodox or a Southpaw as both boxers slowly go towards each other. Randy begins attacking with left and right jabs that Itagaki, who is in Bullet Time, dodges. Itagaki counters one of Randy's jabs before using footwork to keep a distance. Itagaki notices that he can see Randy's movement of his muscle, his breathing, the movement of air, all in slow motion. Before one of Randy's left jabs travels it's full distance, Itagaki throws multiple punches that Randy quickly guards against. Randy throws another left jab, but Itagaki dodges and goes behind Randy.
