Summary[]
As Ippo and Randy were about to start fighting, Mr. Sakaguchi got in between them and stops the spar, reminding Ippo how he refused to fight Randy the last time they met, and that Randy will only face him after his fight with Miyata, in the Philippines, and when Ippo's world ranking is on the line. Everyone becomes disappointed, especially Ippo as Randy and Mr. Sakaguchi leaves the gym. Outside the gym, Mr. Sakaguchi informs Randy to remember Ippo's name, as Miyata and him are the world rankers he has to take for the shortest path to become the world champion. When Mr. Sakaguchi tells him that Miyata is first since he keeps defeating his pawns, Randy confronts him, claiming that he is not his tool and that he will only believe in his goals as long as it aligns with his own, planning to only work with him until he receives his present. As Randy and Mr. Sakaguchi walk away from the gym, Imai walks past them. Shinoda tells Ippo that they are leaving.
