Summary

After Ippo and Itagaki enters to the Kamogawa gym, they are surprised to see Takamura back from his trip from the southern islands of Japan. They learn that Takamura is going to spar with three JBC middleweight ranked boxers, and that Kamogawa and Takamura made a promise that since Takamura doesn't want to do a third title defence and wants to move up to the super middleweight class, if Takamura doesn't get hit, Kamogawa will allow him to do it, but if he gets hit he has to do the third title defence. When Takamura calls for the three boxers to come in the ring all at once to fight him, Ippo, Itagaki, Kimura, and Aoki are shocked, but Kamogawa said it was his idea, as Takamura claims that he heard Miyata had sparred against two boxers at once, so he thinks he can beat three at once. The spar begins, and, after defeating one boxer with one punch, Takamura gets touched before by the other two before knocking them both out at the same time in one round, resulting in Kamogawa keeping the arrangement of his third WBC middleweight title defence for him. Ippo thinks a world title defence is still amazing, while Itagaki notes that Takamura seems to be in a rush to get all the titles. Yagi reveals to the gym members that Takamura's third WBC middleweight title defence opponent in April at the Yokohama Arena will be WBC third ranker Ronald Duck, Aoki and Kimura will be openers, and Miyata will face Randy in the semi-final.
