Summary[]
At the Kawahara gym, preparing for his upcoming match against the OPBF interim champion, Randy, Miyata made preparations to go against Randy's Switch Hitting ability by sparring against the orthodox boxer, Imai, and a southpaw boxer at the same time. While watching Miyata spar against the two boxers, his father believes that the fear of not knowing whether a punch will come from the left or right keeps his eyes on both sides. Miyata defeats the two boxers after struggling and getting hit a lot. After Miyata's father thanks Imai for sticking with Miyata's sparring sessions unlike other boxers that participated, Imai asks how long they will continue the training since Miyata seems to be getting hurt and is in no condition to fight. Miyata's father claims that he will focus on Miyata's recovery when the match nears, however, if he can't learn anything from the training, then he will lose, as he is still missing something. At the Kamogawa gym, as Aoki and Kimura prepare for their matches, Aoki spars with Itagaki, and Kimura spars with Ippo. After the spars, Ippo notices Takamura watching and that he looks angry.
