Summary

Ippo tells Sendō that the counter that Sendō overcame isn't all that there is to Miyata, as there is his footwork. Remembering that Miyata didn't use his footwork during their spar, Sendō decides to show Miyata who's better by having him use his footwork the next day. A week later, at the Kamogawa gym, while Ippo theorises with his gym mates about how Miyata's spars against Sendō went, Sendō arrives and confirms that Miyata was not using his footwork, assuming his weight control was the reason. Sendō leaves with Yanaoka as they go back to Osaka after Sendō tells Ippo that he will come back to watch Miyata's match against Randy in April. As the Kamogawa gym members are worried about Takamura's weight control, a dried up Takamura arrives, revealing how, thanks to Ippo bringing the drink he requested a week ago, his weight control has been easy since he can eat all he wants and gain weight due to diarrhoea. Takamura plans to bring some of the drinks to Miyata before being stopped by Ippo, who grabs his by his pants, causing him to have to defecate. Walking away from the gym, Aoki and Kimura believe that they can't rely on Takamura or Miyata to kick things off, so it is up to them, planning to bloom brighter than cherry blossoms.
