Summary

After getting hit by Miyata's counter, Randy is on shaky footing. Sendō doesn't think Randy is going to step-in as easily now. Sawamura points out that he will since he has to. Ippo claims that because Randy's punches to Miyata's body are landing, he'll be prepared for the sacrifice of being hit a few times, and if it can stop Miyata's footwork, it will be a great payoff, which is something that he was going to try against Miyata. Takamura and Kamogawa comments that the reason Randy can step-in without fear isn't just because his punches are landing, but also because the counter Miyata hits him with is just a left. Randy gets close to Miyata and puts only his right guard up as he sees Miyata preparing a left counter to counter Randy's left. Randy notices Miyata's stopping his left fist from moving, wondering what he is doing. Miyata then hits Randy with a right counter, however, Randy still stays standing. Miyata realises he just lost the bet as the fourth round ends. Randy realises that he has the advantage now, as he broke Miyata's ribs when his first body blow connected and Miyata was smiling to hide the damage. Randy grins, believing that he finally got his payoff.
