Summary

Miyata continues throwing big low-to-high punches that Randy easily dodges. When Miyata tries to throw a left hook, he falls from the momentum of the swing, rolling down on the canvas and a slip is declared. Kamogawa feels as if Miyata's father is incompetent due to being a former counter puncher and not seeing such a bad situation happening, as well as having experience in fighting a Switch Hitter. After getting up, Miyata misses his punches while getting hit by Randy's attacks. Miyata falls from his own momentum again as the gong to end the sixth round rings. As Miyata crawls to his corner, Randy asks the referee if Miyata should still be fighting anymore. At Randy's corner, as Randy claims that Miyata might die if it continues, Mr. Sakaguchi tells him to not have sympathy, since the one who caused his father's death is Miyata's second, advising him to use the same counter as his father did that ended Miyata's father's career. Randy has no hard feelings toward Miyata, and knows that his style, while similar to his father's, is entirely different. Sendō and Itagaki claim that they will leave Randy's defeat to Ippo, however, Ippo is silent.
