Summary

With Randy downed, Itagaki and Sendō claim how it was a right with Miyata's whole weight behind it against a Southpaw's left, and it came from Randy's blind spot as well, deeming him a genius. Kamogawa notes that Miyata's upward jabs might have looked desperate, however, it was something that he must have practised a lot, and since it was a living fist, it was a serous enough threat to make Randy be off balance to try and avoid it. Kamogawa adds that the plan was a success due to the punch that Randy threw after it was predicted correctly in advance, and while it may have worn out Miyata, the person who planned the strategy may have picked the best possible choice. Kamogawa thinks it was a plan that was thought of after a loss in order to achieve a victory, and now over a decade later, it finally bears fruit, deeming the plan brazen, but brilliant. Sawamura believes the real genius is Miyata's father. Kida realises the reason why Miyata's father was holding the training mitts so high during their mitt practice session, as he knew Miyata would be unlikely to focus on uppercuts, so he had him practice that punch at the peak of exhaustion to ensure it would come out naturally in this type of situation., deeming the father as amazing. Miyata knows that counter wasn't his alone, thankful to his father for helping him throw it. Randy gets up at the count of nine, wondering whose strength Miyata just used since he knows he is too worn out for it to be his own. Remembering how he has made it this far all by himself, puts up his fighting stance, vowing to not lose to someone like Miyata. As Miyata's father starts to yell out what he should do, Miyata points his fist to his father and thinks that from here on out, it is the kids' turn to fight, so the parents should stay out of it. As Miyata and Randy dashes toward each other, they both throw a right. Randy thinks his fist is faster, so it will land first. Miyata notices his fist is slow, telling it to go faster and reach him. Miyata's fist suddenly speeds up, and Randy is confused by the light shining in his eyes.
