Summary

After Takamura takes a left jab to the face, he manages to tap Duck's forehead with his left, before landing solid right straight on Duck's face. Duck clinches Takamura, before sliding down and falling to the canvas. The referee ends the match and Takamura is declared the winner. After the audience boos him out of the ring due to his poor performance, Takamura storms to the restroom while swinging his fists and unknowingly and accidentally hits Mr. Sakaguchi, who was coming out of the restroom. Outside the Yokohama Arena, Sawamura walks with Sendō to the train station and tells Ippo that he got what he came for, which Sendō hints to Ippo that Sawamura found a goal to be a trainer like Miyata's father. Later, Miyata goes to the Kawahara gym after going to the doctor for a check up to give his thanks to the staff. After receiving a newspaper about his match with Randy, Miyata talks to his father about how he still feels like he won by being lucky. His father tells him that there is no such thing as a lucky punch and deems the last punch he threw was Miyata's best punch. Walking away from the gym, Miyata laughs after reading from a newspaper that Mr. Sakaguchi was hit by an unknown assailant and claims that he will never return to Japan again.
