Summary[]
Itagaki feels pressured by Karasawa and notices that he isn't going for him. Karasawa thinks that he has no reason to since he scored a down, which will let him win by decision if all they do is stare at each other. Saeki thinks Karasawa's plan is clever, since he is waiting at the centre of the ring, putting the pressure on Itagaki, and if Itagaki gets impatient and makes any careless moves, he will get hit for it. Saeki compares Itagaki to an ant that's been caught at the edge of an antlion pit. Itagaki goes on the attack and is hit at every attempt. Itagaki ducks under a jab and tries to use the Dragonfish Blow, however, his fist hits Karasawa's forehead when he went for the right overhand. Itagaki thinks his right fist might be broken, wondering how he is going to win now. The first round ends, and Karasawa raises his left fist up in the air.
