Summary[]

At Itagaki's corner, Kamogawa and Yagi notice how obvious Itagaki is making it look that he is down. Shinoda tells Itagaki that it seems it was too soon for him to take on Karasawa and to not try and act tough, as he could see through his speed and scored a down, and now Itagaki's right fist is hurt too. As Shinoda claims that those were a terrible three minutes, Yagi tells him that he needs to try and lift his spirits. Shinoda tells Itagaki that strategy was a bigger factor in this match than he anticipated, and when things didn't go well, he doubted himself, stating that this is what's it like when someone is a class A boxer. As Itagaki leaves for the second round, he asks Shinoda what he should do. Shinoda simply tells him to go out there and learn. As the second round begins, Itagaki is confused as to what to do and knows that Karasawa isn't going to go after him. Itagaki goes towards Karasawa, who keeps him away with left jabs that hits Itagaki's face. Kamogawa and Yagi asks Shinoda if he is going to say anything to Itagaki. Shinoda tells them that he doesn't need to, and that while it would be great if he won, he is prioritising the experience gained, where the bigger the price he pays now, the more he will grow because of it later. Itagaki stops going after Karasawa and notices that there is only one minute left for his goal to beat Ippo's time, getting irritated that he can't think of a way to win. Itagaki remembers the conversation he had with Ippo where he explained how he set a goal to touch Wally at least once, then he tried for five times, and then slowly increased the number he was aiming for.
