The anime removes scenes of Kamogawa training by running while dragging multiple tires behind him and jump roping.
The scene of Kamogawa hitting the log into the hillside is shortened.
In the manga, Dankichi physically stops Kamogawa from punching the log into the hillside as his fists were bleeding. In the anime, Dankichi doesn't stop him and his fists do not bleed.
In the manga, as the match between Anderson and Kamogawa was about to begin, Miguel was Anderson's only second in the ring. In the anime, Anderson has all three seconds in the ring.
