Conclusion is Round 57 of the Hajime no Ippo anime, which is the adaptation of Jōji Morikawa's Hajime no Ippo series.
Summary[]
As Ippo begins to lose hope, he remembers how he told Takamura that in the match, he would give it his best shot. Concluding that he still has more to prove, Ippo re-focuses on the fight and lands a powerful blow on Date, causing is legs to shake, giving Ippo the opportunity to attack again. However, the gong sounds right after Ippo throws his punch, and both fighters go back to their corners. Kamogawa asks Ippo if he can still see, and the latter replies that he can still move and has not given everything he has yet. Kamogawa then realises that Ippo is just barely conscious. In the other corner, Date tells Nakadai to forget about blood and massage his shaking legs. Date goes to the centre of the ring full of determination, and Ippo goes full of confusion. The Kōrakuen Hall is now full of chants for Ippo, but Nakadai mentions that Date is back to his old self again. Date fires a Corkscrew Blow, but Ippo blocks it, causing Kamogawa to state that even though he lost his reasoning abilities, his body still knows what to do. Date fires another Corkscrew Blow hoping to find the heart, but Ippo blocks it once again. Kōrakuen Hall is full of cheers for Ippo, but the match is a one-sided beat down and it is Date who is dominating. Okita begs him to forget about the Heart Break Shot, but Nakadai explains that if he can not land it against Ippo, he has no hope against the world champion. Both fighters get close to each other and begin trading punches, which causes Yagi to think that Ippo is back to normal. Kamogawa states that he is still unconscious and that he will throw the towel in if necessary. It seems Ippo can barely keep fighting, as he only follows Kamogawa's orders in a semi-conscious state. Ippo is relying on Date's body to remain standing, so when Date retreats, Ippo immediately falls. Ippo is so confused that even as he gets up, he can not locate Date in the ring. Date realises that when Ippo was following him, it was not a fight plan but actually him not being able to stand on his own. Date with admiration for Ippo's fighting spirit, begs for him to turn around, spot him and keep fighting. Ippo barely manages to get back up in time, but the referee is not sure he is still able to fight. As Kamogawa is about to throw the towel, Ippo charges forward leaving the referee no choice but to order them to keep fighting. Kōrakuen Hall is louder than before with chants for Ippo, who charges at the champion. Date can not move due to the damage, so he lets Ippo get closer to begin the trade. Once they resume, Ippo receives a left jab, but returns with a body blow that clearly damages his opponent. Takamura notices that one good body blow will end the champion, so Aoki and Kimura yell at Ippo to do so. Ippo initiates the motion for a liver blow and Date seems to retreat, however he is simply taking enough distance to perform the Heart Break Shot, which is a success. Date wants to connect with a left hook before the referee can stop them. However, as he was going to attack, he stops as he notices the towel from Ippo's side being thrown in, and Ippo falling to the canvas. The match is declared over.
