Reiko (れーコ) is a non-recurring character in Hajime no Ippo. She is a nurse that works at the Kawai Hospital. She was briefly Kimura Tatsuya's love interest.

Challenge for the Throne Arc[]

After Makunouchi Ippo won against Alexander Volg Zangief, Reiko was Ippo's nurse when he was sent to the hospital from the injuries he received during the fight. During his stay there, Takamura Mamoru, Kimura Tatsuya, and Aoki Masaru arranged a group date with Reiko, who invited Mashiba Kumi, Tomiko, and Megumi to go with her.
Over the course of the date, Kimura, Aoki, Takamura, and Ippo competed against each other in bowling at the Rosa Bowl in order to find out which girl they would be walking home with, with the highest score being the first to pick. When the competition ended, Kimura picked Reiko.
Road Back Arc[]

Reiko asked Kimura for some tickets to Ippo's match against Ponchai Chuwatana that he was an under card for. Reiko brought her boyfriend with her to cheer for Kimura, which crushed Kimura's dreams of a relationship with her.

- Kimura ends up naming his pet fish Reiko.
